Obituary

Francis "Fritz" A. Stanke of Saukville was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at the age of 83. He was born in Green Bay to Louis and Helen Stanke on May 30, 1938. Fritz was an extremely proud Marine serving with the 7th Motor Transport Battalion in the Infantry Division. He married the love of his life Marilyn Rudolph on July 23, 1960, in Pulaski, WI and together they had three daughters. Fritz was married to "his beautiful bride" as he always referred to her even to this day for 61 wonderful years. He was a strong and committed family man always willing to help others in need. Along with Fritz's "beautiful bride" he was always so very proud of his three girls, his grand-children and great granddaughter. He was always full of compliments whether that was to his family or others. Fritz just knew how to make others feel good about themselves. Fritz was an extremely hard worker. He spent 36.5 years at Ataco Steel in Grafton, WI as a Supervisor. Fritz loved his work and truly enjoyed the people he worked with. He always made an impact on those he came in touch with; to know him was to truly love him. Fritz was friendly to everyone and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone and always made people feel welcome. Fritz was an avid snowmobiler for many, many years. He always had to be the first one out on the river with his snowmobile to lay his tracks down. He spent many years snowmobiling up north and took trips to Michigan with his wife and friends to enjoy the groomed trails there as well. Fritz also had a love for spending time at their cottage in Crivitz. Whether it was to relax or work, being at the cottage with his beautiful wife was when he was most at peace. He loved to take his grandchildren out on four-wheeler, scooter and golf cart rides and he would always come back with a big smile on his face. Fritz always took such pride and enjoyment in spending quality time with family. Fritz's memory will be forever cherished by his loving bride Marilyn, his daughters Julie Vey, Cari (Kevin) LaCombe and Stacey (Wally) Orten; grandchildren Joshua and Jessica Dimmer, Joel McKeefry, Samatha LaCombe, Kailee and Justin Orten; great-granddaughter Athena Charlie McKeefry. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and father and mother-in-law Rudy and Verna Rudolph; siblings Rosemary Lasecki, Joe and John Stanke. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 6:00PM on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 3:00PM until the time of service.
