FRANCIS GEORGE WATRYnbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; ldquo;FANNYrdquo; Fanny Watry of Spring Court in Random Lake passed away Saturday morning July 17 2010 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.nbsp; He was 81 years old.nbsp; Francis was born on April 2 1929 in Fredonia son of Peter J. and Veronica K. Schueller Watry.nbsp; He graduated from Port Washington High School Class of 1947.nbsp; Fanny entered the United States Army and served in Korea.nbsp; After his service Fanny owned and operated Standard Oil Company in Fredonia was an officer of Watry amp; Watry Inc. for 38 years and sold cars at the Mike Salta Pontiac Dealership in Honolulu HI.nbsp; Most recently Fanny had worked at Times Printing in Random Lake retiring in 1994.nbsp; He was united in marriage with Patricia Buchholz (Pohl) on May 2 1992 at St. Maryrsquo;s Catholic Church in Random Lake.nbsp; The couple moved to Tomahawk WI in 1994 and moved back to Random Lake in 2002. Fanny was a member of Holy Rosary Parish St. Rose Chapel. He was also a member of Fredonia American Legion Post 410 where he had been a former member of the Drill Team.nbsp; Mr. Watry had been a member of the Fredonia Fire Department for many years and had served as an Assistant Chief for 15 years and was currently an honorary member of the Department.nbsp; Fanny was also a 50 year member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.nbsp; In his younger days Fanny raced stock cars on the local circuits including Slinger.nbsp; He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.nbsp; Fanny is survived by his wife Pat of Random Lake as well as his mother-in-law Eleanore Buchholz also of Random Lake.nbsp; He is further survived by 5 step-children: Kathy (Ralph) Butler of Washington Susan (Perry) Birenbaum of Cascade Betty (Ken Barnes) Pohl also of Washington James (Karen) Pohl and Michael (Cathy) Pohl both of Belgium 12 grandchildren 1 great-grandchild brother-in-law William Buchholz of Belgium and sisters-in-law Geraldine Watry and Geraldine Jacoby both of Fredonia nieces nephews other relatives and many friends.nbsp; He is preceded in death by his parents Peter and Veronica as well as his brother Kenneth Watry.nbsp; A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7:30 PM on Wednesday July 21st at Holy Rosary Parish Holy Cross Chapel in the Town of Belgium (Hwy A amp; Hwy B).nbsp; Father James Ernster and Fr. Richard Fleischman will officiate.nbsp; He will be laid to rest with Military Honors in the St. Rose Cemetery Fredonia.
