Obituary

Francis E. Frank Wozniak Murphy Francis Wozniak known to many as Murphy of Port Washington passed away in the afternoon hours of Monday May 30 2011 at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon surrounded by his loving family. He was 74 years old. Murphy was born in Wauwatosa on May 16 1937 son of Walter Wozniak and Olga Koenesnic Blaszkowski. He grew up in the Milwaukee area and married Joanne Plato at Our Lady of Sorrows in Milwaukee on June 13 1959. Murphy served his country in the US Air Force for over 10 years. He worked as an electrician for many area contractors and later retired as a Maintenance Supervisor for the United States Post Office. After retiring from the Post Office Murphy worked for six years as an elevator inspector for the state of Wisconsin. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 494 and the Saukville Gun Club. He enjoyed shooting sports of all kind fishing golfing and bowling. Murphy is survived by his wife Joanne of Port Washington three children; David of Mequon Sandy (Dan) Hartman of Sheboygan and Janet (Jeff) Gahan of Port Washington. He is further survived by six grandchildren; Benjamin Amy David Andrew Paul and Jack his sister Mary (Russell) Schrubbie of San Mateo CA nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents his stepfather Frank Blaszkowski and three brothers; Walter Charlie and Jerome. Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 4th at 1 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington with Mary McHugh officiating. He will be laid to rest with military honors at St. Mary's Mausoleum in Port Washington. Visitation will take place on Saturday June 4th from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Funeral Home.
