Frances Seiler Kretchmer, of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, sadly passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025. She was 75 years old. Fran was the daughter of Robert and Patricia Seiler of Birmingham, Michigan. She was married to Gary for 51 years. Together they had Kathryn (Matt Ford) and Charlie (Christine). She had two sisters, Sally Seiler (Pat Pellerin) and Jody Van Sicklen (John).

In 1998, they were fortunate to host an AFS student from Oslo, Norway, Anders Vollen, who they considered to be another member of the family. Fran was very active in the Cedarburg community. She taught at Parkview Elementary school for 33 years, was a docent for the Cedarburg Historical Society, worked at the Cedarburg Public Library, and was a board member for the Cedarburg Community Scholarship Fund.

Together as a family they built a fantastic summer home in Sugar Camp, WI, where they vacationed for several years.

Fran loved her garden and creating. She was always looking for unique ways to present things. She enjoyed golfing with the Hawthorn Honeys and spending time with her book and bridge clubs.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 4PM to 7PM at Eernisse Funeral Home – Cedarburg (1167 Washington Ave. Cedarburg, WI 53012).

In lieu of flowers in her memory, donations to the Cedarburg Community Scholarship Fund or the Susan B Koman Foundation are welcomed.
