Frances M. Bowman-Klopp Frances M. Klopp-Bowman age 89 years of Port Washington passed away in the evening hours of November 3 2005 at St. Mary's Care Center in Madison where she had been a resident. She was born in Port Washington on May 17 1916 daughter of the late Oscar and Gladys Barber Galles. She married Walter Klopp on January 3 1940 in Port Washington. He preceded her in death in 1965. She then married Everett Bowman on March 9 1968 in Port Washington. He also preceded her in death. Frances was a member of First Congregational Church in Port Washington the Order of the Eastern Star the Port Washington Historical Society the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Port Washington Women's Club. Frances enjoyed playing the piano and singing. She was the lead soprano in her church choir and used to sing on her own radio show in Sheboygan. She also enjoyed playing Bridge and belonged to many local card clubs. Frances is survived by 2 sons Keith (Jennie) Klopp of Troutman NC and Reid (Carole) Klopp of Madison. She is further survived by 5 grandchildren 4 great-grandchildren 2 brothers Paul (Betti) Galles of Port Washington and Clyde (the late Ruth) Galles of Sun City FL one sister Joyce (the late Howard) Klopp of Evanston IL and one brother-in-law James Scherzinger of California nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her two husbands Walter Klopp and Everett Bowman and one sister Charlotte Scherzinger. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 8th at 11:00 AM at The First Congregational Church 131 N. Webster St. Port Washington with Rev. Jeff Suddendorf officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Port Washington. Visitation will be at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Avenue Port Washington on Monday November 7th from 4-8 PM and again on Tuesday Nov 8th at the Church from 10:00 AM until the time of services. An Eastern Star service will be held on Monday at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials to First Congregational Church appreciated. Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is assisting the family.
