Mrs. Florence Rogers of Port Washington passed away at Kathy Hospice on Sunday, January 3, 2021. She was 89 years old.
Florence was born on July 8, 1931 in Milwaukee, daughter of Oscar and Ruth Wagner Christensen. After graduating from Marinette High School, she attended Columbia School of Nursing in Milwaukee where she received her certificate as a licensed practical nurse. Florence worked as an LPN at The Protestant Home in Milwaukee, nursing homes in Mondovi, WI and other nursing homes in the area over many years.
Florence married Eugene Schulist and the union was blessed with two children before it was dissolved. She married James Reese on August 26, 1978 in Eleva, WI; he preceded her in death in 1999. Florence later married Dean Rogers on December 6, 2001. He preceded her in death on August 20, 2012.
Mrs. Rogers liked bowling, was a volunteer at Family Sharing for over ten years, and enjoyed watching NASCAR and Green Bay Packers games on television. She also enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles, and loved playing cards and games, especially with her friends at Westport Meadows and family.
She is survived by her daughters Diana (Ted) Rittberg of Grafton and Marcia (the late Dave) Brunner of West Bend, grandchildren Samantha Rittberg, Daniel Schulist and Emily Ziehr, and her cherished great-granddaughter Elizabeth "Lizzie"Rittberg. She is preceded in death by husbands James Reese and Dean Rogers, sister Martina (the late Jack) Cherry and brother Orin (the late Jeanne) Christensen.
