Obituary

Faye Brown of Fredonia formerly of Port Washington passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday May 26 2013 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. She was 70 years old. Faye was born along with her identical twin Frances Lucille in Chicago IL on January 12 1943 daughter of Glenn Jenkins and Marion Soales Jenkins. On April 24 1965 she married James Brown in Oak Park IL. He preceded her in death in 1995. Faye worked as a Customer Service Representative for Allen Edmonds Shoe Company in Port Washington retiring in 2008. Faye was a founding member of Open Door Bible Church in Port Washington. Much of Faye's interests were in the church for the more than 30 years since its inception. She was also an incredible cook and was a past winner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Best Cook On The Block. Faye is survived by her two sons Glenn (Carol Butler) Brown of Chicago and David (Linda Yoon) Brown of Milwaukee. She is further survived by her precious granddaughter Melody three sisters; her twin Frances (the late Larry) Herring of Norcross GA Carol Martin of San Diego CA and Mary Ellen (Christopher) Thompson of Helena MT. Faye has much love for her eight foster children seven nephews three nieces other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband James. Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 30th at 7 PM at Open Door Bible Church 3420 County Road LL Port Washington with Pastor Sid Litke officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Oakridge - Glen Oaks Cemetery in Hillside IL. Visitation will be held at the CHURCH on Thursday May 30th from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials suggested to Open Door Bible Church. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is honored to serve the family. Online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome. The Brown family offers our gratitude to Anne Steffen Sue Freund and others from the congregation who gathered along with Pastor Sid Litke to make her final days peaceful.
