Mr. Bud Matheny of the Town of Cedarburg passed away at his home Sunday evening, April 14, 2019. He was 87 years old. Bud was born in Greenville, IL on November 29, 1931, son of Eugene and Lorraine Hotz Matheny. He attended local schools before attending Marquette University in Milwaukee. Mr. Matheny proudly served his country in the US Navy. On July 11, 1958 Bud was united in marriage with Charlene "Chuck" Hall in Roland, IA; the couple settled in the Cedarburg area and raised their three sons. She preceded him in death in 2010. Mr. Matheny worked for the phone company before he became a bus driver for Lamers Bus Lines. He retired in 2005. Bud enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, driving and camping. In his younger years he liked golfing and bowling. Survivors include his sons Mike of Port Washington, Paul of Saukville, and Pat of Cedarburg. He is further survived by granddaughter Melissa Matheny, sister-in-law Patricia Miller, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, and his sister Joyce Schnitz.
