nbsp;Eugene A. Bares Eugene ldquo;Generdquo; Bares age 75 years of Holy Cross Town of Belgium died Tuesday Oct. 5 2010 at Columbia St. Maryrsquo;s Hospital in Mequon.nbsp; He was born March 6 1935 in Belgium son of Louis and Margaret Schueller Bares.nbsp; On September 6 1958 he married Mary Hubing at St. Mary Lake Church. Gene served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. After returning home from the service he worked at Wayside Collision in Belgium for 23 years owned and operated Gamp;Mrsquo;s Happy Hours bar in Holy Cross and retired as a welder at Construction Forms in Cedarburg. He was a member of Holy Rosary Parish and helped maintain the parish grounds and cemetery in Holy Cross. He is survived by his wife Mary four children Brian (Tami) Bares of Belgium Karen (Chris) Scalone of Fredonia Paul (Sue) Bares of Belgium and Jeff (Amy) Bares of Random Lakenbsp; eight grandchildren Matt Kayla Kyle Mari Katie Natalie Jenna and Jason three brothers Donald (Julie) Bares Robert (Leona) Bares and Engelbert ldquo;Bertrdquo; (Regina) Bares all of Belgium two sisters Betty (Eugene) Gottsacker of Shawano and Dorothy (Michael) Harrington of Port Washington.nbsp; He was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth. Gene enjoyed spending time with his family was an avid Green Bay Packers fan NASCAR fan and enjoyed riding his scooters. A memorial mass will be held on Friday evening Oct. 8 7 PM at Holy Rosary Parish Holy Cross Chapel Hwy. B Belgium with Father James Ernster officiating.nbsp;nbsp; Visitation at the CHURCH Friday from 4-7 PM. nbsp;In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated.
