Esther Lucy Kintop (nee Hintz) of Cedarburg passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the age of 96. She was born on the family farm in Amherst Junction, WI on September 18, 1922 to Peter and Martha (nee Gladowski) Hintz. She was united in marriage to Harry "Chick" Kintop (1981) on August 17, 1946 and together they had three children.
Esther was totally devoted to her family. Spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren gave her the greatest joy of her life. Esther was a wonderful baker and was famous for her homemade apple and peach pies. She was devoted to her faith and was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg.
Esther is survived by her daughter Nancy (Bryan) Swift; son-in-law, Phil Wisniewski; grandchildren, Erin Kintop, Matthew (Jennifer) Wisniewski and Mark Wisniewski; great-grandchildren, Landon and Avery Wisniewski; siblings, Stanley (Esther) Hintz and Regina (Mike) Karpinski. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her children Sandra Wisniewski (2017) and Peter Kintop (2011).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church (1375 Covered Bridge Rd. Cedarburg, WI 53012) with Fr. Alan Veik, Capuchin presiding. Visitation will be at the CHURCH from 10:00AM until the time of service. Private family interment will be at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Cudahy.
In lieu of flowers memorials are encouraged to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin or St. Francis Borgia Catholic School.
