ERVIN S. WORZALLA Mr. Ervin Worzalla of Avalon Lane in the Town of Cedarburg passed away at home in the early morning hours of Sunday March 9 2014. He was 81 years old. Erv was born in Stevens Point on September 6 1932 son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Hoffman) Worzalla. As a child he and his family moved to Milwaukee where Erv attended St. Casimir Grade School graduating from Messmer High School with the Class of 1950. Erv proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. On November 5 1955 he was united in marriage with Patricia LaFrance. The couple settled in Milwaukee and raised their family. In 1992 they moved to Cedarburg. Mr. Worzalla worked as a postal carrier machinist at Wisconsin Motors foreman at Teledyne Wisconsin Motors parts manager at Roth Distributing and as a sales counselor for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Catholic Cemeteries before retiring in 2007. He was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg. Erv loved spending time with his family working in the yard feeding and watching the birds (especially the hummers!) on projects around the house and was an avid reader. He liked to make everyone laugh and his unique sense of humor and quick wit will be greatly missed. Mr. Worzalla is survived by his wife Patricia son Ross (wife Kat) Worzalla of Franklin and his family: Michael Worzalla of Milwaukee Kimberly (husband Brooks) Collins and their daughter Mya of Beaverton OR Kat's daughters Valerie (Michael) Meyer of Vernon Hills IL and Diana Berenz of Madison; son John (wife Jayne) Worzalla of Cedarburg their daughter Krista Worzalla of Chicago IL and Jayne's departed son Benjamin Kins; and daughter Elizabeth (husband Christopher) Riggs and their children Hollis and Colette of Ann Arbor MI. He is preceded in death by his parents sister Jean Hinz and brothers Jack and Larry Worzalla nieces nephews other relatives and friends . A Memorial Mass will at 11 AM on Saturday June 28th at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church North 1375 Covered Bridge Road Cedarburg. Fr. Justin Lopina will preside. Erv will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Resurrection Cemetery Mequon. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Saturday from 10-11AM. Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers.
