Eric Howard Brunner of Fredonia passed away in the comfort of his family home, surrounded by love and family on Monday, November 11, 2024 at the age of 64.

He was born the beloved son of Howard and Elaine (Bohn) Brunner in Port Washington on February 26, 1960. Eric was a proud graduate of Ozaukee High School. He owned and operated S & E Glass in Fredonia, serving Ozaukee County with commercial, residential and auto glass needs for over 15 years.

Eric was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed every aspect from trapping beaver to hunting whitetail and black bear in Wisconsin with his family and friends. He followed his dream and headed west to live in Montana at the Gates of The Mountains near the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail. With a beautiful mountainous backdrop, he spent his time working, fishing, hunting elk, coyotes, and antelope for 14 years before returning home to Wisconsin.

After returning, Eric found much joy in spending time with his family. Especially his grandson Liam. Eric devoted his time to teaching Liam how to hunt, fish and trap, just as how he grew up.

Those left to cherish Eric's memory include his devoted daughter Stephanie (Brian) Bahr; adored grandson Liam; mother Elaine Brunner; siblings Dan (Bonnie) Brunner, Dave (Sandy) Brunner, Clare (Joe) Ott, Cecilia Brunner, Cindy (Steve) Kocher, Sarah (Skip) Wallner, Tom Brunner and Rebecca (Michael) Stroede. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Howard, nephew Kevin Watry and niece Lindsay Kocher.

A funeral service for Eric will take place at 7pm on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington, WI 53074. His family will welcome guests at the funeral home from 3pm, until the time of service.
