Erhard A. Jobs, age 94, of the Town of Saukville, passed away on April 20, 2026, at Forest Haven assisted living in Fredonia. He was born on October 23, 1931, in Milwaukee to Reinhold and Emelie (Laubenstein) Jobs.
Erhard grew up in the Town of Saukville and graduated from Port Washington High School with the class of 1949. He married Barbara Christensen on June 5, 1965, and celebrated 60 years of marriage in 2025.
Erhard lived his entire life on the Jobs homestead, established by his great-grandfather Friedrich Jobs in 1896 in the Town of Saukville. He farmed with his father prior to working more than 30 years at Gehl Company of West Bend, building farm machinery until retirement. A man of deep faith, Erhard was an active and devoted member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Newburg, WI.
Erhard is survived by his beloved wife Barbara, his son Rev. Jason (Kristine) and cherished grandsons Aaron and Nathan. He was preceded in death by his parents along with his son Joseph and brother Arno.
A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 623 Congress Street, Newburg, WI. A visitation will be held at church from 9:00-11:00 am. Erhard will be laid to rest next to his son Joseph at St. John’s Cemetery in Newburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church’s “Let’s Grow” fund for the future additions to the school.
The family would like to share heartfelt gratitude to Forest Haven Administrator Karen and Manager Lisa along with the staff, as well as the many family and friends who visited Erhard in the days before he passed away.
