Emma Giese age 91 years of Saukville passed away in the morning hours of January 16 2007 at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Port Washington where she had been a resident. Emma was born in Pound WI on April 1 1915 daughter of Charles Minkel and Anna Petz Minkel. On June 6 1936 she married Carl Giese in Mountain WI. He preceded her in death in 1986. Mrs. Giese worked various factory positions and the couple also ran the Wee Go Inn Tavern in Saukville for over 13 years retiring in 1976. She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Saukville and also enjoyed cooking canning and socializing with her family and friends. Mrs. Giese is survived by her four children; Lorraine (Henry) Mueller of Saukville Alvin (Lois) Giese of Grafton Elroy (Linda) Giese of Grafton and Carol (Roger) Barsch of Port Washington. She is further survived by 9 grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren 1 sister-in-law Lorraine Minkel of Manitowoc nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents her husband Carl 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 20 2007 at St. Peter's United Church of Christ 166 W. Dekora St. Saukville with Pastor Donald Ellerman officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery Saukville.
