Obituary

Emil H. Kark Whitey Mr. Emil Kark of Port Washington passed away Sunday evening March 10 2013 at his home. He was 89 years old. Emil was born June 23 1923 in Racine the son of Henry and Gertrude Wilds Kark. After high school he proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. On May 1 1947 he was united in marriage with Dorothy Dots Bintz at North Shore Church in Whitefish Bay. The couple lived in the Milwaukee North Shore area before moving to Port Washington in 2000. Emil owned and operated Warren Electrical Service in the Milwaukee area working as an electrician and electrical contractor. He later worked for Honeywell building automation services as a lead electrician before his retirement. Emil was a member of IBEW Local #494 for nearly 70 years as well as a charter member of Fox Point Lutheran Church. He was a golf and car enthusiast and enjoyed socializing with friends and family. Emil is survived by his children: Jim Kark of Cedarburg Mike (Stacy) Kark of Mequon and Laurie Deblitz Fagan of Port Washington 7 grandchildren: Adam (Katherine) Smith Betty (Sam Rosenthal) Smith and Bill (Shannon) Smith Ashley Alyssa and Mitchell Kark and David (Lexie) Deblitz. He is further survived by 12 great-grandchildren brother Warren (Margie) Kark of VA sister Evelyn Scioscia of PN sister-in-law Marlene Bintz of Waukesha nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Dorothy Dots his daughter Linda Smith and brother Robert Kark. A Memorial Service will be held at 5PM on Tuesday March 19 at Fox Point Lutheran Church 7510 N. Santa Monica Blvd. Fox Point. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday from 4-5PM. Emil will be laid to rest beside his wife at Union Cemetery Port Washington. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Stars and Stripes Honor Flight or the MS Society. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is honored to be serving the family.
