Obituary

ELMEDA E. TUTTLE Mrs. Elmeda Tuttle of Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg formerly of Milwaukee passed away at Lawlis Family Hospice Center in Mequon on Wednesday June 11 2014. She had reached the wonderful age of 100 the previous month. Elmeda was born on May 10 1914 daughter of Otto and Louise Klinge Reineke. She grew up in Wonewoc WI and attended local schools. Elmeda helped out on the family farm until she married her high-school sweetheart Harold J. Tuttle in Rossville GA on July 11 1942. After he returned from the war the couple settled in Milwaukee and started their family. He preceded her in death in 2003. Mrs. Tuttle later moved to Cedarburg and resided at the Lasata Campus. Elmeda enjoyed gardening and had at one time won the Milwaukee Mayor's Gardening Award. She also enjoyed cooking baking reading and doing word search puzzles. Mrs. Tuttle was a member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. She is survived by her two daughters Linda (Dennis Beder) Ziebell and Jane (John) Knap both of Cedarburg. She is further survived by three granddaughters: Aimee (Guy) Powell Melissa (Timothy) Dobberpuhl and Jessica Knap six great-grandchildren: Claire Chloe Catherine Cassidy Haden and Mitchell nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold son-in-law Glenn Ziebell brother Norman Reineke and sisters Elsie Wellman and Alta Huebel. Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 PM on Tuesday June 17th at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1167 Washington Ave. Cedarburg. Rev. Wilmer Reichmann will preside. She will be laid to rest the following day at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Wonewoc WI. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:30 AM until the start of services at 12:30 PM. Memorials are suggested to First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg or Trinity Lutheran Church West Bend.
