Mrs. Ella Pat Opitz age 87 years of Saukville passed away on Monday July 26 2004 at her residence. She was born on November 24 1916 in Warner Alberta Canada daughter of the late John and Beneth Oliver Lonsdale. Ella attended Olds College in Alberta graduating in 1937. In 1938 she married Wilmer Opitz in Lethbridge Alberta Canada. The couple made their home on the family farm in Saukville. The couple dairy farmed until retiring in 1969. Wilmer preceded her in death in 1983. Ella was very active in the community and local politics. She was a member of the League of Women Voters the Ozaukee County Republican Party and a volunteer worker for local elections. In 1972 she was elected to the Ozaukee County Board serving as a member or Chairperson on numerous board committees retiring in 1989. She was a stanch supporter of 4-H Scouting the Historical Society the Royal Neighbors and Farm Bureau. In 1989 she married Harold Orcutt and moved back to her hometown of Warner Alberta. After Harold's death in 2000 Ella returned to Saukville to live with family. She is survived by two sons Charles (Dorothy) of Mineral Point and David of Port Washington seven grandchildren Jeff (Jean) Scott (Diane) Mark Jennifer Bill and Molly Opitz and Janis (Jim) Stemper twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by four sisters nieces nephews in Canada other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her two husbands Wilmer Opitz and Harold Orcutt two brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 31 1 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington with Pastor Marilyn Borchardt of Living Hope Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Waubeka. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
