Mrs. Elizabeth Osborne of Port Washington, formerly of Illinois and Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg, where she had been residing since January. She was 88 years old.
Elizabeth was born in Breese, Il on November 21, 1935, daughter of Arthur and Viola (nee Abel) Johnson. She attended local schools before graduating from Central High School.
On May 7, 1955, Elizabeth was united in marriage with Ronald Osborne at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. The couple were blessed with five children. Following Ron's Air Force career, the family settled in Sharonville, OH to raise their family. In 1979 they moved to Wisconsin; they resided in New Berlin, Hudson, and Cedar Grove before moving to Prot Washington in 2008. Ron preceded Elizabeth in death in 2016.
Throughout her life, Elizabeth excelled at quilting and sewing. More recently, she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
Elizabeth is survived by her children Ronald Osborne of Sharonville, OH, Sharon (the late Bob) Walker of Westchester, OH, Susan (Jim) Schlegel of Saukville, and Timothy (Kris) Osborne of New Berlin, son-in-law Les LaPhilliph of Twin Lakes, and 10 grandchildren: Judy, Angela (Scott), Joseph, Ryan (Sarah), Christopher, Jenni (Chris), Stephanie, Jerome, Melissa (Craig), and Nathan (Sydney). She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Emmaline, Kamdyn, Caleb, Chloe, Claire, Kalista, Isla, and one soon-to-be-expected great-grandson. Mrs. Osborne is further survived by sister-in-law Marg Johnson of Orlando, FL, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Ron, their daughter Sheryl LaPhilliph, two sisters, and two brothers.
Elizabeth and Ron will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove.
The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to the staff at Aurora Medical Center, Lasata Campus, and Horizon Hospice.
