Obituary

Elizabeth "Betty" Boland of Wauwatosa, WI passed into Eternal Life on May 3, 2022 at the St. Camillus Campus in Milwaukee at the age 86. She was born on December 15, 1935, a faithful daughter of the late Betty and Jacob Katheiser. She was born and raised in the Belgium, WI area. Her full and Catholic life was dedicated to loving, preserving, protecting, and improving life from conception to natural death for all those in her sphere of influence. That influence spread to the many states in which the family lived (Wisconsin, Illinois, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Minnesota). Pro-life education flowed naturally and earnestly in her conversations. She was a pro-life speaker in the classrooms of many different church denominations, universities, and seminaries, made pro-life radio and TV appearances, and spoke up for life at many state law making sessions. Betty's generous support of religious vocations and pro-life education has affected the souls of many for generations into the future. She never tired of caring for and praying for others, and many fostered newborn infants, relatives, and friends were the recipients of her kind, motherly and professional nursing care within the various environments of her life. Betty is survived by her much loved children John, Susan, and Tom, as well as grandchildren Jamie, Bryan, Stephen, Kate, Sam, Sarah and their children. She is further survived by her sisters Shirley Keller and Rose Downey, her many beloved cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her dearly loved husband Richard, her brother Bill and sister-in-law Lois Katheiser. Betty's life will be celebrated at 1PM on Friday, May 13th at San Camillo Chapel, 10200 W. Bluemound Rd. Wauwatosa with a Mass of Christian Burial offered by Fr. Bob Glouderman, followed by a brief ceremony by the Wisconsin Nurses Honor Guard. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at St. Mary Parish Cemetery in the Town of Belgium. A rosary service will be prayed at 12:15pm followed by visitation at 12:30., with Mass beginning at 1PM. As an expression of sympathy, memorial Masses are greatly appreciated, as well as donations to Human Life International, Family Life Council, or the Marquette University College of Nursing Institute for Natural Family Planning. The Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements; online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com .
