Obituary

Elenora Ellie Mae Shepherd Roos of Port Washington formerly of Cedar Grove passed away at her residence in the evening hours of Friday April 11 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Ellie Mae was born in Florence County WI on May 22 1936 the oldest of 13 children to Elmer and Marie Cline Templeman. On March 19 1979 she married Warren Roos in Waukegan IL. He preceded her in death in 1999. Ellie Mae worked at Tecumseh Power Products in Grafton for over 20 years. She was an active member of First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove the American Legion auxiliary Post 338 in Cedar Grove and Post 470 in Saukville and was a former Shop Steward for Lodge 1326 International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Ellie Mae was a musician known for her singing and guitar playing. She sang with many famous local musicians including Artie Mintz and was well known for singing at many events in the area. She recorded her own album Something Sentimental in 1982. Ellie Mae is survived her four children: Maple (Wes) Decker of Port Washington Sherry (the late Richard) Rowley of Grafton Peggy (Daniel) Rick of Cedar Grove and Richard (Tammy) Shepherd of Port Washington. She is further survived by four step sons: Dennis (Kim) Roos of Saukville David (Debbie) Roos of West Bend and Dale Roos and Dan Roos both of Port Washington 19 grandchildren many great-grandchildren her eight surviving siblings: Wilbert (Sue) Templeman of Shawano Arlene (the late Frank) Prochaska of Saukville Sharon (Dennis) Lastovich of Grafton Wanda (Al) Keller of Grafton Larry Templeman of Oostburg Herbie (Linda) Templeman of Port Washington Bonnie (George) Pachner of Fredonia and Christine (Phil) Buchmann of Oostburg nieces nephews other relatives and many many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Warren son Speedy Ray Shepherd brothers Duane and Clint Templeman and sisters Pat (John) Larson and Linda Pannier. Memorial services will be held on Saturday April 26th at 12 Noon at First Reformed Church 237 South Main St. in Cedar Grove. Pastor Kent Vant Hul will preside over the service. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Warren in St. Mary's Cemetery in Saukville. Visitation will take place at the CHURCH on Saturday April 26th from 10 AM until the time of services.
