Eleanore L. Gantner Eleanore Gantner age 85 years of the Harbor Village in Port Washington passed away suddenly on December 25 2007 at her residence. Eleanore was born on December 12 1922 in Milwaukee daughter of Nicholas Schmitz and Sarah Gebhard Schmitz. On April 10 1943 she married George at Ascension Church in Los Angeles CA. George preceded her in death in August 2007. Mrs. Gantner was a member of St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church in Port Washington and the Catholic Knights. She was a former member of St. Mary Parish in Lake Church the Christian Mothers and the Eagle Auxillary. Eleanore also enjoyed cooking and baking traveling and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her three sons Robert (Karen) Gantner and Richard (Ardy) Gantner both of Port Washington and Gary (Lois) Gantner of Watertown. She is further survived by 13 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren 2 sisters-in-law Josie Schmitz of Port Washington and Barbara Schmitz of Milwaukee nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband 2 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 29th 2:30 PM at Friedens Evangelical Church 454 N. Milwaukee St. Port Washington with Rev. Mark Voll officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Mary Parish Cemetery in Lake Church. Visitation will be at Friedens Evangelical Church on Saturday from 12:30 until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials suggested. The Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family.
