DOYLE Eleanor M. ldquo;Ellierdquo; (nee Ploessl) Ellie Doyle of Port Washington WI formerly of Dubuque passed away Saturday evening June 21 2008 at Columbia-St. Maryrsquo;s Ozaukee in Mequon WI. Eleanor was born in Dubuque on June 23 1946 daughter of Edwin and Mary Meyer Ploessl. She was united in marriage with Robert J. Doyle at Holy Assumption Catholic Church in West Allis WI on May 27 1969. He preceded her in death earlier this year. Ellie and R.J. owned and operated R.J. Doyle Jewelry in Fox Point WI semi-retiring in 1996. Eleanor served as Supervisor for the Town of Fredonia WI resigning during her third term to devote more time to her husband. The couple recently moved to Port Washington. Ellie is survived by her five sisters: Janice Waechtler of Madjesto CA Lois Ploessl of Dubuque Amy Kuhl of Port Washington WI Dianne Ploessl and Monica (John) Wolbers both of Dubuque and three brothers: Randy (Becky) Dennis (Maria) and Noel Ploessl all of Dubuque. She is further survived by two sisters-in-law: Cecelia Doyle of New Hampton and Margaret Doyle of Northridge CA other relatives and friends. RJ and Ellie had no children. Their nieces and nephews were the beneficiaries of their love guidance and support. She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Anthonyrsquo;s Catholic Church in Dubuque on Friday June 27 2008 at 11AM. Father Daniel Knepper will officiate. Ellie and RJ will be inurned at Mt. Calvery Cemetery in Dubuque. The family will receive visitors from 10 AM until services at 11AM. Ellie valued her Catholic education. She attended Wahlert High School in Dubuque and was a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Mount Mary College in Milwaukee WI. To share the opportunities her parochial education provided she established a scholarship fund for high school and college students. Memorials may be sent to the Eleanor Ploessl Doyle Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Holy Family School System 2005 Kane St. Dubuque IA 52001.
