ELEANOR A. ANSAY Mrs. Eleanor Ansay of the Town of Belgium recently of Cedar Grove Gardens passed away Saturday evening August 4 2012 at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home in Sheboygan where she had been residing for the last nine months. She was 86 years old. Eleanor was born in Cedarburg on March 8 1926 daughter of Nicholas and Anna Urbanus Holz. She graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1943. On May 13 1950 she married with Donald Ansay at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg. The couple farmed in the Town of Belgium where they raised their family. They retired from farming in 1990 and moved to the Village of Belgium later moving to Cedar Grove Gardens. Donald preceded Eleanor in death in 2011. Mrs. Ansay was a member of Divine Savior Parish St. Mary Lake Church Chapel. She was a former member of the Christian Mothers. In her younger days she enjoyed going to farm auctions with her husband. She was very involved with sewing gardening crafts and quilting. In more recent years she and Donald traveled to Europe Canada and many places in the United States. Eleanor enjoyed watching her favorite home team The Green Bay Packers. She also enjoyed baking and is reported to have made some of the best bread in the world! Eleanor is survived by her three daughters: Karen (the late Michael) McCulloch of Minneapolis MN Nancy (Ron) Bahling of Greenfield and Bonnie (Ray) Lapinski of the Town of Belgium as well as 8 grandchildren: Nicholas (Megan) Kelly McCulloch Jessica Jennifer Bahling Joseph Matthew Gregory and Jeanette Lapinski. She is further survived by 2 sisters: Helen (the late Robert) Drzewiecki of Cedarburg and Florence (Earl) Putzbach also of Cedarburg 2 brothers: Herbert (Clarice) Holz of Mesa AZ and Albert (Betty) Holz of the state of Washington sisters-in-law Dolores (the late Henry) Kowalski of Cedar Grove Mary (Dick) Neerhof of Port Washington Pearl (Robert) Houston of Tomahawk Loretta (the late James) Croatt of Port Washington Elaine (the late Harvey) Ansay of Beaver Dam nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald their son Russell Ansay and 2 brothers: Roman and Ervin (the late Arlene) Holz. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday August 9th leaving the Eernisse Funeral Home (171 N. Royal Ave. in Belgium) at 6PM and going to Divine Savior St. Mary Lake Church Chapel for Mass at 6:30 PM. Father James Ernster will preside. She will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery beside her husband and her son following Mass. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-6PM. Memorials are suggested to Divine Savior Parish or the Alzheimer's Association.
