Elayne M. Chovanec Elayne Chovanec age 88 years of Grafton passed away on Thursday December 5 2013 at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon. She was born November 7 1925 in Two Rivers WI daughter of the late William and Mary Hallada Luchterhand. In 1947 Elayne graduated from Columbia Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee. On April 12 1947 she married Frank Chovanec at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. The couple lived in Milwaukee where they raised their family. In 2002 they moved to Grafton. Elayne was a member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg where she enjoyed Bible study. She was also a member of Aglow an international Christian organization for women. She is survived by her husband Frank her son Larry (Jane) of Grafton daughter Diane Brayshaw of Grafton son in law Michael Canty of Two Rivers 4 grandchildren Aaron (Karen) Benjamin Nathan and Jared 6 great grandchildren her brother Alan (Darlene) Luchterhand of Two Rivers her sister Judy (Dick) Hempfner of Minnesota nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter Marylee and sister Ruth. Funeral Friday December 13 1 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1167 Washington Ave. Cedarburg. Entombment Wisconsin Memorial Park. Visitation at the funeral home Friday from 11 AM until time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated. Elayne was a faithful servant of her Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
