Elaine S. Feider Elaine S. Feider 72 of W3672 County Rd. K Cedar Grove died of cancer in the early morning of Sun. Jan. 9 2005 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Dacada where she resided for the past five weeks. She was born July 16 1932 in the Town of Belgium a daughter of the late Aloys and Alexia Rach Schueller. She attended St. Nicholas Grade School in Dacada. After graduating from Port Washington High School in 1950 she was employed at the William F. Schanen Law Office in Port Washington. On June 21 1952 she married Joseph N. Feider at St. Nicholas Catholic Church Dacada. In 1956 they purchased a Town of Holland dairy farm and the cattle trucking business from her husband's parents. She acted as business office manager for the rest of her life. The trucking business serves farmers in three counties and she continued to manage the office after her son Dan purchased the business in 1986. Her husband died April 18 2001. For more than a decade she assisted with the Wednesday afternoon mailing of The Sounder newspaper in Random Lake. Her hobbies included bird watching and feeding reading three daily newspapers and more than a dozen weekly newspapers and spending time with her children and grandchildren as well as her pet cat Buddy. For many years she contributed a daily weather report to The Sounder and The Sheboygan Press. Mrs. Feider was a lifelong member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church Random Lake and the former St. Nicholas Parish of Dacada. She was a member and past secretary-treasurer of the Christian Women's Society and a member of the Third Order of St. Francis and Catholic Knights Branch 164. She served on the board of the Sheboygan County branch of the American Cancer Society and she became a cancer survivor herself for 16 years. She also was a member and past officer of the Sheboygan County Farm Bureau. Survivors include two sons Gary and Daniel of Cedar Grove; three daughters Susan (Jack) Feider Kelly of West Allis Doris (Gary) Feider-Schlenvogt of Port Washington and Rita (Jeff) Horstmeier of Dacada; 10 grandchildren Jaclyn Kaitlin and Sean Kelly Joseph Nic Jacob and Alexia Horstmeier Julie (Michael) Brey Paul and Roberta Schlenvogt; two great-grandchildren Madeline and Natalie Brey; one sister Nadine (Donald) Seubert of Menomonee Falls; three brothers-in-law Anthony (Loretta) Feider of Cedar Grove Francis (Sharon) Feider of Plymouth and James Feider of Cedar Grove; eight sisters-in-law Beata (the late Kenneth) Schueller of Belgium Lucille (the late Dr. Arnold) Feider of Sheboygan Marian (the late Elmer) Feider of Glendale Marcella (the late Wilmer) Feider of New Holstein; Dolores (Oscar) Schmidt of Lake Church Helen (the late Ray) Schultz of Mequon Margaret (the late Marvin) Mueller of Newton and Mary Ann (Joseph) Kirklewski of Grafton; many other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Sat. Jan. 15 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Chapel in Dacada. The concelebrants will be her first cousin Fr. Charles H. Wester pastor of St. Mary Parish in Mayville and Fr. Richard J. Cerpich pastor of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish. Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery Dacada. Friends may call at the Eernisse Funeral Home 171 N. Royal Ave. in Belgium on Fri.
