Obituary

Eileen M. Hochstein Mrs. Eileen Hochstein of Milwaukee Street in Fredonia passed away at the VITAS Hospice center in Wauwatosa on Monday evening July 16 2007. She was 81 years old. Eileen was born in Arcadia on March 3 1926 daughter of Andrew and Gertrude Bill Boland. She was united in marriage with Oscar Hochstein on September 23 1950 at St. Thomas of Aquinas Catholic Church in Milwaukee. The couple owned Hochstein's Hall a popular tavern and dance hall located in Fredonia. They sold the business in 1974. Oscar preceded Eileen in death in 2004. Mrs. Hochstein worked as an assembler at Leeson Electric and had also worked at Gilson Corp. and as a cook for Ozaukee High School. She was a member at Holy Rosary Parish and enjoyed playing cards including cribbage and sheepshead Eileen also liked gardening spending time with her grandchildren and Turbo. She is survived by he children Jeff (Carol) Hochstein of Milwaukee and Kathy (Ray Buba) Brandt of Cedarburg 3 grandchildren: Megan (Christopher) Gonzalez Elizabeth and Sarah Hochstein all of Milwaukee. She is further survived by a brother Daniel Boland of Ephrata WA sister-in-law Hermina Boland of Winona MN special friend Joanne Laper and all of her card-playing buddies nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband 5 brothers: Maurice Clarence Bernard Joseph and David and 2 sisters: Luella Kothrade and Mary Ann Giddings. Funeral Services for Eileen will be held on Friday July 20th 7 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington (Hwy 33 LL). Father Richard Fleischmann will officiate. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Wisconsin Memorial Park the following day. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Friday from 4-7PM.
