Edwin D. Schneider Jr. of Port Washington passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the age of 89. He was born to Edwin and Julia (nee Langers) Schneider on September 30, 1930. He married Virginia Jaeger on September 8, 1962 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington and together they had two children. Edwin graduated from Port Washington High School in 1948. He proudly served in the United States Army in Korea. Edwin retired from Simplicity Manufacturing after nearly 30 years of dedicated service. He was an avid reader and loved to watch WWE Wrestling on TV. He was a loving caretaker for his wife Virginia for the last 20 years. Edwin is survived by his wife of 58 years, Virginia, his sons Thomas (Lanell) Schneider and Kevin Schneider; sisters, Patricia Jakobi and Ruth Schneider; dear brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Andrea Jaeger. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Maxine, Doris, Elmer, Laverne, Leo, Cyril, Roman and Earl. A private ceremony will be held.
