Obituary

EDWIN M. BUECHLER JR. Mr. Ed Buechler of County Road LL in Belgium passed away at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee on Monday April 20 2015 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 63 years old. Ed was born on December 22 1951 son of Edwin and Germaine Gangalbauer Buechler. He grew up in Belgium and attended local schools graduating from Cedar Grove High School in 1970. Ed proudly served his country in the US Army stationed at Fort Wainwright AK. He was united in marriage with Judy Roden at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend on June 8 1974. The couple settled in the Belgium area and began farming. Ed started Buechler Livestock a livestock dealer and trucking firm in the mid 1980s. Mr. Buechler was a member of Divine Savior Parish as well as a member of American Legion Post 412 in Belgium. He enjoyed flying his ultra-light aircraft playing cards fishing hunting and traveling. Ed loved being outdoors but enjoyed going to the Sale Barn as a cattle dealer where he always enjoyed the camaraderie (and maybe a few hands of sheepshead). He is survived by his wife Judy and their children Joe (Tiffany) Buechler of Cedar Grove and Barb (Dave) Worzalla of Saukville three grandchildren: Audrey Ava and Weston and his mother Geri Buechler of Belgium. He is further survived by sisters Kathleen (the late Patrick) Kernan of Port Washington and Carol (the late Edward) Eckert of Sheboygan sisters-in-law Cheryl (the late Frederick) Buechler of Port Washington and Nancy (John) Johnstone of West Bend nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Edwin and his brother Fred. Funeral Services will be held at 7PM on Friday April 24th at Divine Savior Holy Cross Chapel 5332 Hwy B in the Town of Belgium. Father Patrick Wendt will preside. He will be laid to rest the next day with Military Honors at St. Mary Parish Cemetery in Lake Church. The family will receive visitors on Friday at the CHURCH from 3-6:45PM. Memorials are suggested in Ed's name to either the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Froedtert Hospital or to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in Sheboygan.
