Obituary

Edwin Deheck of the Town of Holland passed away at his home of 88 years on Wednesday June 17 2015. He was 88 years old. Ed was born on the family homestead (the same house he passed away in) on February 18 1927 son of Andrew M. Deheck and Lucy Heinen Deheck. Ed grew up on the family farm until he was drafted into the US Army in 1950. He served his country in Korea until he was discharged in 1953. On September 26 1953 he married Theresa Stephanie at St. Michael Catholic Church in the Town of Mitchell. The couple lived on the family homestead raising their family and farming. Ed worked for Gilson Manufacturing as a painter until his retirement. Ed was a lifelong member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish (St. Nicholas Chapel) and enjoyed his grandchildren jigsaw puzzles playing sheepshead gardening and the outdoors. He is survived by his eight children: Joseph (Peggy) of Fredonia James Andrew and Thomas all of Cedar Grove Anthony (Susan) of Sheboygan Falls Donna (Jerry) Puch of Gibbsville Diane (Mike) Miller of Random Lake and Judy (Dave) Morales of Cedar Grove. He is further survived by 11 grandchildren: Scott Deheck Monica (Brandon) Luedtke Tim and Cassandra Puch Brian Samantha and Kyle Miller Katie and Sarah Deheck Diego and Alex Morales sisters-in-law Rita (the late Frank) Schuh of Plymouth Verena (the late Lance) Nadler of Chilton Sonia (the late Ronald) Stephanie of Crivitz and Betty (the late Royce) Stephanie of Plymouth nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Theresa two brothers and two sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday June 22nd 6:30 PM at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish - St. Nicholas Chapel Highway K Dacada. Father Richard Cerpich will preside. He will be laid to rest with military honors in St. Nicholas Parish Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the CHURCH on Monday June 22nd from 3:30-6:30 PM.
