Obituary

Edwin H. Reichelt Edwin Reichelt of Port Washington formerly of Grafton Wisconsin peacefully joined his deceased wife Maryanne on July 9 2012. He was 80 years old. Ed was born in St. Louis MO on October 18 1931 son of Edwin C. Reichelt and Marie Hoelter Reichelt. After High School Ed proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Navy on the Aircraft Carrier USS Roosevelt. He was honorably discharged October 27 1954. He married his sweetheart Maryanne Hoffmann on November 12 1955. Ed worked as a pressman and pressroom supervisor for Northwestern Printing Company Jens Printing and Visual Systems. He was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church and the Rose Harms American Legion Post. Ed is survived by seven children: Todd (Cindy) Reichelt of O'Fallon IL Eddie (Carol) Reichelt of Port Washington Candace (Mark) Pape of Grafton Christopher (Sue) Reichelt of Sheboygan Falls Gregory Reichelt of Milwaukee Julie (Jim) Flatley of Port Washington Kim (Matt Lesch) of Milwaukee 18 grandchildren 15 great grandchildren and 2 more great grandchildren on the way. He is further survived by two brothers Denny (Sandy) Reichelt of Minocqua and Daniel (Karen) Reichelt of Grafton one sister Jackie (Don) Torn of Menomonee Falls nieces nephews other relatives and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Maryanne in 2009 and his brother Don (Bea) Reichelt. Ed loved his family. Nothing made him prouder than being with his children grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a committed friend ... always looking for ways to serve and assist. He will be sorely missed! Visitation will be from 3-5 pm on Friday July 13 2012 at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church 1375 Covered Bridge Road in Cedarburg Wisconsin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 5pm at the church with Father Ken Herian S.J. presiding. Ed will be laid to rest with full military honors in St. Francis Borgia Parish Cemetery Mequon. In lieu of flowers memorials may be donated to the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight. This group is dedicated to using these donations to fly war veterans to Washington D.C. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is assisting the family.
