Mr. Ed Streff of the Town of Fredonia passed away Tuesday morning, April 2, 2019, at Forest Haven in Fredonia, where he had been a resident for the past four years. He was 89 years old. Edward was born on October 15, 1929 in the Town of Fredonia, son of Edward N. and Olive Klas Streff. He attended school at St. Nicholas in Dacada and helped on the family farm. On November 8, 1950 Edward was united in marriage with Betty Schaller at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown. The couple settled on the farm and raised a family of 14 children. Mr. Streff worked the family farm his entire life; he enjoyed fishing and hunting as hobbies, as well as following the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. He is survived by his wife Betty and thirteen children: Gary (Jean) of Fredonia, Edward of Saukville, Bobby of Mansfield, OH, Ronnie (the late Bonnie) of Fredonia, Wayne (Peggy) of Adell, Donna (George) Schoeder of West Bend, John of Glendale, Linda (special friend Janet) of Milwaukee, Roger (Rebecca) of Oostburg, Tom of Port Washington, Pat (Nick) of Port Washington, Michelle (Mark) Blumenberg of Fredonia, and Lisa of Belgium. He is further survived by 23 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, daughter-in-law Nancy Streff of Fredonia, sister Betty (John) Paulus of Port Washington, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his son Gerald, grandson Jon Magritz, granddaughter Cheryl Streff and sister Laverne (the late Oliver) Depies. According to Edward's wishes, there will be no formal services held.
