Obituary

EDWARD R. STEFANIAK Mr. Ed Stefaniak of 7th Avenue in Grafton passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family Saturday morning November 15 2003. He was 83 years old. Ed was born in Milwaukee on October 28 1920 son of Joseph and Hattie Domrois Stefaniak. He went into the US Army and served over seas in the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater. On August 10 1946 Ed was united in marriage to Eldora Krueger in Marathon County Wisconsin. Mr. Stefaniak worked as a machinist at Square D in Milwaukee for 37 years retiring in 1982. He was a member of the American Legion Rose Harms Post 355 and enjoyed all sorts of outdoors activities including fishing hunting and trap shooting bowling and was especially fond of going to reunions with his Army buddies. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Eldora their three sons Edward Jr. (Maxine) of Muskego Scott of Saukville and Steven (Jeri) of the Town of Polk 6 grandchildren 1 brother. Lawrence of Muskego and 1 sister Virginia Hebermeyer of Valencia CA. He is further survived by 2 sisters-in-law Helen Hintz of Spring Hill TN and Mary Stefaniak of Muskego nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by 1 brother Leonard. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday November 23 2003 1PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington with Rev. Kenneth Schmidt officiating. A walk-through and short Veterans service by Rose Harms Post 355 will follow. Mr. Stefaniak will be laid to rest in the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home Sunday from 12PM until 1PM. Memorials are suggested to the American Legion Rose Harms Post 355 or to Trinity Lutheran Church.
