Edward Neuens, of Fredonia, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. He was 83 years old. Ed was born in Fredonia on August 2, 1933, son of Oliver Neuens and Florence Jacque Neuens. He grew up in the Fredonia area and attended high school in Port Washington. In 1952, Ed joined the United States Marine Corp, serving in Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1955. After returning home, he worked at the family business, Neuens Lumber in Fredonia. Ed was a member of the American Legion Post 410 of Fredonia and the Saukville Rifle & Pistol Club. He enjoyed shooting, hunting, and fishing up north.
He is survived by his fiancée Cynthia Zettler of Fredonia, his two sisters: Carolyn (the late Ted) Thompson of Severna Park, MD, and Sarah (Paul) Ansay of Verona, his cousin and good friend Bob Solms of Fredonia, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
In accordance to Ed's wishes, private funeral services will be held.
