Edward Thill of Port Washington formerly of Fredonia passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday April 12 2014. He was 78 years old. Edward was born on November 10 1935 on the family farm in the Town of Fredonia son of Mike Thill and Margaret Meyer Thill. Edward was a life-long farmer who enjoyed rural life. Even though the work was difficult and never ending he saw it as a productive and peaceful way of life. He was a happy gentle spirit who took good care of his parents in their later years. Edward took numerous motor coach tours to various destinations. He especially enjoyed seeing the Green Bay Packers play in Tennessee and Arizona. He was keenly aware of current events not only locally but nationally and worldwide. He was a life-long member of St. Rose Parish now Divine Savior Parish in Fredonia. Edward is survived by his brother Herbert Thill of Port Washington his niece Anne Thill of Cedar Grove and his nephew Michael (Kelly) Thill and family of Franklin. He is further survived by cousins other relatives and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday April 22nd at 2 pm at Divine Savior Parish Holy Cross Chapel in Belgium. Father Todd Budde will preside. He will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 22nd at the CHURCH from 12-2 pm.
