IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edward "Eddie" R.
Mytton
December 8, 1940 – August 1, 2025
Born in Milwaukee on December 8, 1940, Eddie passed away on August 1, 2025, at the age of 84. He was the beloved husband of Kathy for 32 years, a loving father to stepdaughters Traci (Chellie) and Terri (Eduardo), and sons Mark, Jeff, and the late Andrew. Eddie was a cherished brother to Barbara and the late Susie (Gary), and a devoted grandfather to Lauren, Katherine, Evan, and Elena. He was also a dear uncle to Eve, Zack, Dirk, Dana, and Janet. Eddie's extended family and friends will miss him deeply.
He was an avid golfer who, along with Kathy, cherished their membership at Old Hickory Country Club for many years. Eddie found joy in playing numerous rounds with friends, the "golf mafia", including the late Terry Daniels and the late Dan Kenevan. As a true Wisconsinite, he was a passionate fan of the Badgers, Brewers, Packers, and Bucks.
In addition to his passion for sports, Eddie's love for animals was evident in the many dogs that surrounded him throughout his life.
He refereed high school and college basketball for 28 years and was a proud member of the Northeastern Officials Association. In retirement, Eddie found fulfillment in driving a school bus for middle and high school students.
For over 30 years, he treasured spending time at a cabin on Pickerel Lake, creating countless memories with his stepdaughters, grandchildren, and friends around him. One of his greatest joys was his fishing trips with his late friend Ed Jacobs. Eddie also loved wintering in Orange Beach, AL, where he and Kathy enjoyed a condo on the beach, golfing, swimming, and walking along the ocean shore.
Eddie found immense joy in watching his grandchildren participate in their various activities, including theater and multiple sports. He cherished conversations with them about their lives and offered guidance whenever asked.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Froedtert Hospital, Dr. Nand at Columbia St. Mary's in Mequon, and the team at Zilber Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
Eddie will be deeply missed by many, especially Kathy. We find comfort in knowing that he is now golfing, fishing, and watching the game with his friends, family, and with his beloved dogs by his side. Eddie brought so much love and joy to his family and friends, and we are incredibly grateful for the significant impact he had on our lives. Rest in peace, Eddie.
If desired, the family prefers donations to any of the following organizations: American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Zilber Hospice, and The Humane Society of the United States.
The family will be having a private Celebration of Life.
