EDNA T. ALDERTON Mrs. Edna Alderton of Fredonia passed away at Columbia-St. Mary's Hospital Ozaukee on Friday morning January 16 2015. She was 87 years old. Edna was born in Green Lake WI on August 2 1927 daughter of John and Mary Clancy Montgomery. The family moved to Milwaukee while she was growing up and she attended local schools before graduating from Milwaukee Girls Tech High School in 1946. On August 30 1952 she was united in marriage with Leslie Alderton at St. Michael Church in Milwaukee. The couple moved to Port Washington in1965. They moved to Cedarburg in 1975 and Edna later moved to Fredonia to 1989. Mrs. Alderton worked as a sales clerk at St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Store in Port Washington for over 30 years retiring in 2002. She was a member of Divine Savior Parish in Fredonia. Edna is survived by her five children: Diane (Alan) Hoffman of Stevens Point Debora (David) Nowak of Saukville Raymond (Tina) Alderton of Smyrna GA Denise Metz of Port Washington and Deidre (James) Paffenroth of Fredonia 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren with one soon-to-be-arriving. She is further survived by her twin sister Edith Wilde of West Bend sisters Lucille (Newton) Tucker of Watertown and Alice (Winford) Hackbarth of Beaver Dam nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her former husband and four sisters: Maryann Wentz Veronica LaPlant Irene Rogozinski and Myrtle Silbersack. Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday January 20th at Divine Savior St. Rose Chapel 305 Fredonia Ave. Fredonia . Father Dennis VanBeek will preside. She will be laid to rest at St. Rose Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Tuesday from 11AM until services at 12 noon.
