Earl W. Schlenvogt Jr. Schleny Earl Schlenvogt Jr. of the Town of Port Washington passed away unexpectedly in the morning hours of Monday January 20 2014 at his residence. He was 69 years of age. Earl was born in Port Washington on April 1 1944 son of Earl Schlenvogt and Arlene Jaeger Schlenvogt. On October 29 1973 he married Bonnie Higgins in Waukegan IL. The couple worked a small hobby farm in the Town of Port Washington. Earl also worked as a truck driver for Cedarburg Lumber Co. for 35 years retiring in 2008. He helped out on the family dairy farm plowed snow for his good friend Tom Poull and also drove dump truck for Dave's Excavation. Earl was a member of Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Grafton and the Lake Shore Chapter of Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed the Saturday night stock car races in Plymouth Harley Davidson Motorcycles Dale Earnhardt the Back to the 50's Classic Car Show lemon meringue pies and cherished his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Bonnie of Port Washington and his two children Chad (Jenny) Schlenvogt of Port Washington and Carrie (Steve) Schaefer of Fredonia. He is further survived by his four grandchildren; Alena Derek Trent and Anna his siblings Alan (Donna) Schlenvogt of Belgium Gary (Doris) Schlenvogt of Port Washington Linda Rudd of West Bend and Lee (Pam) Schlenvogt of Port Washington nieces nephews other relatives and many many friends. He is preceded in death his parents Earl and Arlene and his sister Joanne Schlenvogt. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 25th at 12 noon at Pilgrim United Church of Christ 1621 Second Ave. Grafton with Pastor Franz Rigert officiating. He will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery in Port Washington. Visitation will be held at the CHURCH on Saturday the 25th from 9 am to 12 noon. In lieu of flowers memorials suggested to the Knellsville 4-H Club or Pilgrim United Church of Christ. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is honored to serve the family.
