Mrs. Dorothy Yurske of Port Washington passed away Friday evening, May 25, 2019, at Ellen's Home while surrounded by her loving family. She was 93 years old.
Dorothy was born in Port Washington on November 23, 1925, daughter of Erwin and Clara Stieg Gall. After attending local schools and graduating from Port Washington High School, she was united in marriage with Gorman Yurske on January 5, 1947 in Sparta, WI. The couple settled in Port and raised their family. He preceded her in death in 1999.
Mrs. Yurske was a very active member of Friedens Evangelical Church in Port Washington, where she participated in the Afternoon Guild, the Evening Guild and the Mission Committee. She had also volunteered at Heritage Nursing Home and with Interfaith Caregivers.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Cindy (Mitchell) D'Amico of Madison and sons Glenn (Beverly) of Cedarburg, Stanley of Fort Atkinson and David (Dawn) of Merrillan, WI. She is further survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Gorman, sisters Marjorie Spear and Betty Bendt, brothers Fred, Gerald and Carl Gall, and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30AM on Wednesday, May 29th at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington. Pastor Brandon Lemons will preside. Dorothy will be laid to rest beside her husband in Union Cemetery, Port Washington following the service. The family will receive visitors at the Eernisse Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10:30AM until services at 11:30AM.

The family would like to thank you to the staff at Ellen's Home for the loving care they gave Dorothy the past 51/2 years and especially the past few weeks. They are all like part of the family.
