Obituary

Dorthy I. Taylor Dorothy I. Taylor age 86 years of Port Washington formerly of Saukville passed away in the early morning hours of March 25 2003 at Heritage Nursing Home in Port Washington where she had been a resident for the past eight years. She was born on September 22 1916 in Centralia IL daughter of the late Charles and Ann Woods Demey. Dorothy earned a degree in Nursing and worked as a register nurse at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis MO. On August 2 1941 she married the Rev. Charles Taylor in Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1998. Dorothy attended church services at Fellowship Bible Church in Grafton on a regular basis. She also enjoyed doing a variety of hand-crafts including knitting crocheting and cross-stitch she enjoyed gardening classical music and hymns (she was a soprano soloist) and was a huge animal lover. She is survived by her son Ed (Jean) Taylor of Cedarburg daughter Gigi (Mark) Hecker of Fredonia 7 grandchildren Kevin (Donna) Taylor Tracey Morrissey Pat (Jodi) Taylor Shawn (Joe) Wilkins Adam Taylor and Rachel and Michael Hecker. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren her niece Ann Mae Fisher other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband 1 brother Edward Demey and 1 sister Helen Mowry. Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor will take place Sunday March 30 at 4 PM at Fellowship Bible Church 1415 2nd Avenue in Grafton. Interment will take place in Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg.
