Dorothy Plier of Port Washington passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday May 28 2011 at Ellen's Home in Port Washington. She was 86 years old. Dorothy was born in Fredonia on January 5 1925 daughter of Alois and Margaret Holbach Lesch. On April 12 1947 she married Alfred Plier at Holy Cross Catholic Church in the Town of Belgium. He preceded her in death in 1982. Dorothy was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington and also the McDonald's Club and enjoyed crocheting especially afghans. She is survived by her daughter Janet (James) Bares of Merrill Grandchildren Wendy (Jim) Arndt of Merrill Kristine (Matthew) Bullis of Wausau Mark (Laura) Bares of Merrill Laurie (Kevin) Jacoby of Merrill Susan (Joel) Krause of Wausau John Albinger of Milwaukee and Jodie (John) Weigel of Port Washington. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren Haley Kaitlyn and Aaron Arndt Braeden and Mckenna Bullis Ethan Cole Olivia Adam and Ryan Bares Mariah Jacoby Derek Krause and Abby Amanda Anna and Alyssa Weigel her son-in-law Tom Albinger of Saukville two sisters Gertrude Barnes of Athelstane and Mary Helen Burmesch of Belgium her brother Gregory (Pat) Lesch of Florida nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband her daughter Dianne Albinger her brother Elmer Lesch and her sister Margaret Rassel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday June 1st at 6:30 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington with Father Tom Lijewski officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Fredonia. Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 1st from 4-6 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W.
