DOROTHY L. GRIMM Mrs. Dorothy Grimm age 89 years of Port Washington passed away early Friday morning at Heritage Nursing Home in Port Washington where she had been a resident. Dorothy was born on August 23 1918 in Fort Atkinson the daughter of Gustave and Bertha Backhaus Grosskreutz. On February 1 1938 she was united in marriage with John Grimm in Milwaukee. The couple settled in the Ozaukee County area and moved to the Rhinelander area after retiring. Mr. Grimm preceded her in death in 1985. Dorothy continued to live in Rhinelander until 1986 when she moved to Crystal Falls MI. She later moved to Port Washington and had resided at Marian Heights and Harbor Cove prior to Heritage Nursing Home. Mrs. Grimm was a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton and United Evangelical Church in Crystal Falls MI. She enjoyed cooking sewing knitting word search puzzles and spending time at Lake George in Rhinelander. Dorothy is survived by her children: Janice (the late Wesley) Bates of Appleton Daryl (Catherine) Grimm of Fredonia Patricia McGregor of Crystal Falls MI and Bernice Bunnie (David) Grisar of Adell. She is further survived by 20 grandchildren 38 great grandchildren 1 great-great grandchild one brother Edwin (Sarah) Gross of Okeechobee FL son-in-law Jim McGregor nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband John daughter Roxanne (the late Richard) Veser 1 sister Ruth Matejicka 1 brother Arthur Grosskruetz and 2 grandsons John Bates and James McGregor. Funeral Services will be held on Monday March 10th 1 PM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church 326 Center St. in Adell. Pastor Chris Seifferlein will officiate. Interment will take place in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery Town of Sherman. The family will receive visitors on Monday from 11AM until 1PM at the CHURCH.
