Mrs. Doris E. Pomahac formerly of West Bend passed away Saturday evening at Harbor Club in Port Washington. She was 96 years old. Doris was born April 29 1918 in Silver Creek the daughter of Herbert and Freida (nee Lillge) Hartmann. On November 6 1937 she was united in marriage with Ernest Pomahac in Batavia. He preceded her in death in 1977. Doris worked as a receptionist for banks and financial institutions in the West Bend area before retiring in 1983. Doris was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church is West Bend. Doris was a competitive athlete who played softball and golf in her younger years and most recently enjoyed Wii bowling. She enjoyed cooking baking entertaining hosting parties playing cards traveling with her sister and sewing. She loved music played the organ and piano by ear and was in a tap dancing class at 80 years old. Doris is survived by her daughter Donna (the late Roger) Nehrbass of Port Washington and grandchildren: Christopher Nehrbass Patrick (Michelle) Nehrbass and Jennifer (Orrin) Myers. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren: Madison and Delaney Nehrbass and Colette Myers sister Janet Lau of Plymouth nieces nephews other relatives and friends. A Time of Remembrance will be held at 4PM on Monday December 29 at Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4PM. She will be laid to rest beside Ernest at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
