Doris E. Penzich of Cedar Grove passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024. She was 92 years old. Doris was born November 30, 1931, in Hurley, Wisconsin to the late Reino and Sylvia (Kangas) Koskell. She was united in marriage to Joseph Kritz, on May 31, 1952, he preceded her in death in 1980. On May 25, 1983, she was united in marriage to Carl Penzich who preceded her in death in 2000.

She enjoyed being active in her community. She participated in the Cedar Grove Garden Club, the Fantastic Red Hats Society and a member of Finnish Society. Doris serves as the Treasurer for the American Legion Auxiliary in Cedar Grove along with the Finish Society of Milwaukee. She worked as a Coordinator and Billing Clerk for the Visiting Nurse Association for 25 years.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jo Ellen (Stu) Hein, Linda (Jeff) Manis, Cindy (Todd) Kruis, Joseph (Doreen) Kritz and Jeff (Laura) Kritz, ten grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, her siblings, Bill (Sue) Mattson, Ivy Nevala, Donna (Ron) Zuehl and Suzanne (David) Enguist, along with countless other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Joseph Kritz and Carl Penzich; her grandson Sgt. Tyler J Kritz (KIA) along with her brother Del Koskell.

The family would like to thank the staff in the emergency department, ICU and the Hospice team at the Aurora Medical Center Sheboygan County, for the care and compassion they showed their mom and the family.

A private family service was held. She was laid to rest next to her husband at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
