Mrs. Doreen Thill, of Port Washington, passed away unexpectedly following an auto accident on the afternoon of July 5, 2017. She was 59 years old. Doreen was born in Port Washington on November 30, 1957, daughter of Adolph and Jean Barnes Dieringer. She attended local schools and graduated from Port Washington High School with the Class of 1976. On May 23, 1981 Doreen was united in marriage with Tom Thill at Holy Cross Catholic Church in the Town of Belgium. The couple settled on Tom's family homestead and began farming and raising their family.
Doreen loved working on the farm. She could often be found on her lawnmower or in her garden. She drove school bus for various local companies for over 20 years, and loved the children she drove. There were many families that she drove for more than one generation. On Sundays during the football season, the world stopped while Doreen watched her beloved Green Bay Packers conquer foes on the field. Mrs. Thill was a longtime member of Divine Savior Parish, Holy Cross Chapel, where she taught CCD and was active in the choir and the Christian Mothers. She loved her family, her granddogs Chevy & Diesel, and her cat Tipper.
She is survived by her loving husband Tom, and their children Sean Theusch and Angela (Mike) Bright, all of Port Washington. She is further survived by sisters Diane (Tom) Clark of Campbellsport, Denise (Dan) Utecht, also of Campbellsport, Debbie (Don) Wollner of Newburg, brothers Rick (Karen) Dieringer of Saukville and Dean (Christie) Dieringer of Port Washington. She is also survived by brothers-and sisters-in law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Adolph & Jean Dieringer, parents-in-law Robert & Blanche Thill, and other family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6PM on Tuesday, July 11th at Divine Savior-Holy Cross Chapel, 3223 Hwy B, Town of Belgium. Father Kevin Kowalske will preside. She will be laid to rest at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Tuesday, July 11th from 3-6PM.
