Mrs. Donna Thein of Saukville passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton following emergency surgery. She was 75 years old.
Donna was born on August 18, 1944 in Port Washington, daughter of Elmer and Gerda Schultz. She grew up in Saukville and attended Port Washington High School. On October 22, 1960, she was united in marriage with Roger A. "Whitie" Thein. The couple lived in Saukville and raised their two sons in the same house Donna grew up in. Whitie preceded Donna in death in 1991.
Mrs. Thein provided babysitting services at her home, and spent her life taking care of others. She loved all of the children she took care, but was especially fond of her grandchildren. Donna was an avid reader and loved doing puzzles of all sorts; she was a master Scrabble player and loved mind-game books as well as word-search. Mrs. Thein was a fabulous baker and would frequently be called by the near-by school to make her renown banana bars for the students. She also enjoyed camping with her family.
She is survived by her sons Roger (fiancée Susan Dobberpuhl) of Saukville and Kenneth (Kim) Thein of Oostburg. She is further survived by grandchildren Cheyenne, Sierra, Kendra and Konnor, great-grandchildren Bentley, Deklyn and Vivien, grandchildren-of-the-heart Emily, Samantha, Ashaya and Keshawna "Kiki", other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Roger and brothers Kenneth and Raymond Schultz.
A private graveside service will take place as Donna is laid to rest beside her husband in Union Cemetery, Saukville.
