He was always willing to lend a helping hand and generously shared his time and talents with family, friends, neighbors, and many others.

Donald “Don” Weyker, age 87, of Belgium, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.

Don was born in Sheboygan on October 4, 1938, the son of Leo and Olive (nee Antoine) Weyker. He was raised in the Town of Belgium and graduated from Port Washington High School. Following high school, Don proudly served his country for six years as a member of the United States Army Reserve.

On April 28, 1962, Don married the love of his life, Dorothy Feider, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Dacada. Together, they shared 64 years of marriage, building a beautiful life centered around family, faith, friendship, and service to others.

Don worked for 38 years as a punch press operator at Bolens Manufacturing in Port Washington. A man of strong faith and a generous heart, he was a lifelong member of St. Mary Lake Church (Divine Savior Parish) and a 50-year member of the Belgium Fire Department.

Don found great joy in helping others and giving back to the community he loved. He was the kind of person who could fix just about anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He generously shared his time and talents with family, friends, neighbors, and many others, including his dear friend, Father James Ernster, with whom he enjoyed helping with various projects.

In his quieter moments, Don enjoyed playing sheepshead, taking walks, and sharing coffee and conversation with his friends at Hobo’s Restaurant. Above all, he treasured the time spent with the people he loved. His kindness, gentle spirit, willingness to help, and genuine care for others will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Don is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy; his four children, Mary (Patrick) Finnemore, Sue Ann (Daniel) Gahlman, Thomas (Rachel) Weyker, and Jane (Mark) Doll; nine grandchildren, Jack, Megan, David, Anna, Joseph, Jacob, Allyson, Kaylee, and Abigail; and two great-grandchildren, Callaway and Emmy.

He is further survived by his siblings, Roger (Joan) Weyker, Carol (Gerold) Weiland, and Joan (Peter) Schmit; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Shirley (Francis) Stadler, Peter (Louise) Feider, Jeff Anzia, and Roger Ulm; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Olive Weyker; his sister, Linda Ulm; brother-in-law Gregory Feider and sister-in-law Barbara Anzia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Divine Savior Parish – Holy Cross Chapel.

Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, October 6, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Don will be laid to rest at St. Mary Parish Cemetery in Lake Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Belgium Fire Department or Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center.
