Volkmann, Donald C. "Skip" Donald "Skip" Volkmann, a lifelong resident of Cedarburg, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2015 at the age of 83. Skip was born in Milwaukee on May 9, 1932, son of William Volkmann and Frieda Gerlach Volkmann. He grew up in Cedarburg, graduating from Cedarburg High School. After high school, Skip served in the US Navy during the Korean War. On May 9, 1959 he married Norma Reimbold in Milwaukee. Skip worked as a semi-driver for many area companies, retiring in 1997. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg, the Cedarburg American Legion Post 288 and the Cedarburg Volunteer Fire Department. Beloved husband of Norma (nee Reimbold) loving father of Jean (Patricio) Perez, Kathleen Betz and Joseph (Sharon) Volkmann. Further survived by his grandchildren Susan, Emily, Donald, Thomas, James and Mandy, Great-granddaughter Abbey Rae and his sister Lois (Bill) Helm. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ervin, Gordon, Jim, George, John, and Bill. Funeral services Friday, December 18th, 4 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave. Cedarburg. Pastor Brent Halverson will preside over the service. Visitation at the Funeral Home, Fri. Dec. 18th from 1-4 PM with a Legion and Fire Department walk-thru at 3 PM.
