Donald A. Truebenbach, of the Town of Fredonia, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 16, 2020. He was 78 years old. Donnie was born on July 19, 1941 in Port Washington, Wisconsin. He was the only son of Alfred and Dorena (Binder) Truebenbach. Donnie was united in marriage to Sandra Anderson on May 1, 1965 at St John's Lutheran Church, Port Washington. Together they had two daughters, Paula and Janet. Over the years Donnie farmed and worked for Lakeside Foods. He was a dedicated employee of Lakeside Foods for many years and worked various positions within the company. He enjoyed hunting of all kinds, fishing and simply being outdoors. Donnie was active with the Waubeka Fire Department since joining the department in 1987. He served the department as Lieutenant, Captain, Fire Inspector and President. He was still driving the ambulance up until his death. Donald is survived by his wife Sandra, daughters; Paula (Jeff) Igel and Janet (Brian) Giese, grandchildren; Cassandra, Jacob, Ashley and Austin, brother-in-law Dennis Anderson, sisters-in-law; Beverly Anderson, Carol Roska and Deborah Lenz. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Roger Anderson. Donald touched the lives of many people over the years. Due to the current situation, a private celebration of his life will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Waubeka Fire Department or St John Lutheran Church, Fredonia are suggested. The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors at Aurora Medical Center, Grafton, for their great care of our husband, father and grandfather.
