Obituary

Donald E. Seyfert Mr. Donald Seyfert age 78 years of Saukville passed away in the evening hours of Monday August 6 2007 at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Don was born in Saukville on October 31 1928 son of Herbert Seyfert and Arleen Anderson Seyfert. Don proudly served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. On May 29 1955 he married Alice Gerner at St. John's Lutheran Church in Newburg. She preceded him in death in 1985. Donald then married Lois Sands Stelios on September 25 1987 at St. Matthew Evangelical Church in Port Washington. Mr. Seyfert worked at Bolens for 46 years doing various duties. He then worked part-time as a groundskeeper for Hawthorne Hills Golf Course in the Town of Fredonia. Donald was a member of St. Matthew Evangelical Church in Port Washington a proud member of the Saukville Landt-Thiel American Legion Post 470 and a retired member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union. His favorite pastime was cutting his lawn watching his favorite drivers in NASCAR racing and playing cribbage and sheepshead. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time at the family's trailer at Lazy Days Campground. Don is survived by his wife Lois of Saukville four children; Daniel Seyfert of Saukville Debra (Daniel) Schwab of Random Lake Dawn (Jeff) Nash of Grafton and David (Brenda) Seyfert of Neillsville two step-children Paula (Michael) Krenke of Port Washington and Jeff Stelios of Auburn CA. He is further survived by 10 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren one brother John (Doris) Seyfert of Oostburg nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his first wife Alice his parents his grandson Joseph Schwab and one brother Walter Seyfert. Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 9 2007 at 7 PM at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church 1525 N. Grant St. in Port Washington with Rev. Martin Wildauer officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Saukville. Visitation will be held on Thursday August 9 from 3-7 PM at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church. Memorials suggested to St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church or to the family. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is assisting the family.
