Donald L Roller of Port Washington, Wisconsin, age 85, passed away peacefully at his home on June 22, 2026. He was born in Sheboygan on December 27, 1940, to Leroy J. Roller and Viola M (Wester) Roller formerly of Port Washington.
Don graduated from Marquette University and spent his career at Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee, running the gamut from programmer to systems specialist in the Actuary Department.
He spent his life rooted in the values of family, faith, hard work, and perseverance. He will be remembered as a steady presence---extremely generous, dependable, and devoted to the people he loved.
Don was a member of the Port Washington Lion’s Club, Knights of Columbus, St. John XXIII parish, and the Luxembourg-American Cultural Society. Being proud of his heritage, he re-acquisitioned Luxembourg Nationality in 2018.
Among many hobbies, Don was passionate about stamp collecting, meticulous about his garden, loved decorating for all holidays, and enjoyed playing cards, especially Oklahoma Rummy and Hand and Foot. He was also an avid bowler in his younger days.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his sister, Shirley (Andrew) Lee, Belmont CA; nephews Erik, Belmont CA, Brannon, Pasadena CA, Jordan, Bedford TX, and Adam (Joanne), Torrance CA; and grand-niece Chloe Viola Lee. Those also left to grieve are special friends Rick (Sheryl) Weinrich, and Jason Traxel and his children Brian and Olivia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at St. John XXIII Catholic Parish - St. Mary’s Chapel, 451 N. Johnson St., Port Washington, WI 53074. The family will receive visitors at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Donald will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Port Washington.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John XXIII Parish, 1800 N. Wisconsin St., Port Washington WI, or your favorite charity.
